American Civil War Chess Set

The American Civil War (April 12, 1861 – May 9, 1865) was a civil war in the United States fought between northern states ("the Union") and southern states that voted to secede and form the Confederate States of America ("the Confederacy"). On this chess set, you can see Abraham Lincoln facing Jefferson Davis.

The Artisans

Rose and Martial Pépin are a charming retired couple who have been making chess sets entirely by hand since 2006. Their products are exclusive to our store. All the pieces are meticulously casted and hand painted. These chess games require between 3 and 4 weeks of work each.
